2Talk mailbox is not accessible using my house phone, *55 not recognised.

It is almost as if there is no outgoing DTMF tone.

On fibre, Skinny HG659 with Bigpipe firmware.

Using basic sip settings on HG659 found on 2Talk.

Incoming and outgoing calls ok.

I can access my voice mailbox using my cell phone, so I know voice messages are being stored.

Anyone come across this and know a fix for this?

TIA

Is there a dial plan of some sort in the HG659?

I'm guessing there isn't an entry to match "*XX". Does *55# work?

DTMF should just be set to RFC2833. Test your DTMF by dialling 0800 000 000 and choose an option.

Edit: But also, just set up voicemail-to-email in 2talk. Have it email you the voicemail only, and not store it on 2talk.

*55 and *55# accesses the mailbox menu. Further key presses ie 1 does nothing.

0800 000 000 accesses the spark site and pressing a 1 key gets further into the menu.

Also dialled a local mechanic and can get thru their menu with a 1 key press gets to the service desk.

Ohhh right. So it hits voicemail, but the options dont work.

Double check your DTMF settings, make sure its RFC2833.

Can't see any DTMF config in the HG659...

Emailing voice mail is not really an option for my non tech better half  :-)

There must be some place to set the DTMF type. Is there an advanced settings page?

Looks for words like "Inband", or "Out-of-band", or RFC2833.

In the HG659 I have found a Digitmap with  [X*#ABCD].T

I think this may be a dial plan.... I am sure I have seen a more complex dial plan than this somewhere.

I will have a look on 2Talk.

Changing the DTMF to  RFC2833 fixed my problem. I can now access my mailbox sub menu.

Many thanks for your help.
