i think my fritzbox is on the way out(frequent disconnects) but my only other modem to test my line with is a Huawei HG659 it has voip capabilities ,but ive never been able to get my 2talk VOIP to work with it ,maybe im doing something wrong ?although i read somewhere of other people having issues due to a combination of bigpipe ,gnat and VDSL and, but i was never able to confirm this , i do have a static IP with BP.

the voip works flawlessly on my old fritz , good router , pity its dying. so i cant understand why on gods green earth the router supplied by bigpipe wouldnt work with 2talk ?

i get this message in the HG659 router log :

Registering with VoIP number 07216XXXX Register server sip.2talk.co.nz failed: Reason: no answer from remote station received.

anyway , i do have a linksys wrp400 i can use , but when i try to use 2talk device provisioning , it has the option for a few devices , but i dont know if the wrp400 is a PAP2T device or a SPAXXX or neither , or how i auto provision it , i find the voice settings in the router quiet daunting to configure .

any suggestions anyone ? as im considering ditching both my ISP and VOIP providers because of it , and going back to good old fashion POTS system.
