Can anyone give me the settings to make X-Lite work with italk?  Ive downloaded the latest version but cant get the settings correct. Alternatively does anyone have a copy of the X-Pro software that came with italk?  I know you were supposed to get an email with a link or some crap but it ever came thru (hell it took me like 4 months to get them to bill me the first time!)..  Just need to test my setup to see why my phones not working - it goes straight to voicemail on both my numbers!  Calls out are fine though..

And yes I have my usernames & passwords.  ;)

Not sure about italk but here is the setup for 2talk which I have tried

http://blog.2talk.co.nz/?page_id=13

I think that they are related and the setup may be the same  with the obviuose name differences..

Also found this on the italk forum.

Use the 'softphone' settings.. (http://forums.italk.co.nz/viewtopic.php?t=5

The main settings:
SIP server and proxy are both akl.italk.co.nz
User and auth ID are your phone number (6499xxxxxx)
Password is the password slingshot will have mailed you, phone and ask if you need it.
DHCP should be OK for the IP address; I don't recommend hard-coding the IP, if you want the phone to have a fixed IP register the phone's MAC address with your DHCP server.

Its looking like its my router..  ASUS WL600G..  Would never recommend one. Way too many problems.  Even with the ports forwarded I having no luck.  Occasionally if I use X-Lite I can get a connection and can even get the phone to ring!  Very rare though.  Gonna replace it with another Dynalink RTA1332(?) as that just worked.

Thanx for the info on the Dynalink.  I am having the same problem as you with a DSE XH1173  Great router until you try VOIP and then it's touch and go.  My old retired Dynalink RTA 020 when I connected it  worked fine but way to slow on downloads for general use..

Will look at the Dynalink above. or as I suspect  RTA 1335 .

I worked out what the problem with my setup was in the end.  The ASUS WL600G has a setting under the NAT settings for ALG which has a tick box for SIP.  Once unticked it all started working perfectly well.  Took alot of trail and error though - even bought a new dynalink off Trademe just in case..
