I now have an ultrahub from vodafone, I do not have a phone line with them. I have a 2 Talk number, configured through a Cisco ATA. Wondering if I can ditch the Cisco and configure ports on hub to suit?

thanks in advance!

Ultra hub is a lame piece of kit for anything other than voda services, no surprise there.

Plenty of other router options out there.

Switch to 2degrees and get a free Fritz!box if you sign up for 12 months. Fritz!box will do the job you're after very well.

Thanks for the suggestions but I’ve already got the Cisco ATA, it’s served my purpose for years, don’t have any problems with it. Just thought that if I had the opportunity to turn off a device I would have jumped at it! Seem to have more and more stuff plugged in these days! I keep having to buy bigger power bars!

Right so stick with the Cisco ATA, will outlive anything your ISP will supply.

I have a Vodafone HG659 and one phone line port is our local Vodafone landline and the other line is a 2talk number.   Works very well no problems at our end.  We are on fibre as well.  Maybe get a HG659 and replace that Ultrahub.  If you get a HG659 you will need to get into Admin, but you can google that, the password is related to the the last 8 digits of the serial number if I remember correctly.  We have turned off the SPA122 at present as it is not needed at our place.
