I bought a phone for my home office. Nothing fancy, just a corded speaker phone made by Uniden.

We already have a home phone, a Panasonic cordless phone which we've had for several years.

Caller ID has worked fine on it since we got it and our home telephone is VoIP provided by Orcon on their home router that they provided.

So I was disappointed today, on receiving this new phone, to find Caller ID isn't working.

I have both phones sitting together and calling my home line on my mobile I see my number on the Panasonic but not on the Uniden.

Opening up the admin web page panel on the Orcon router (NetComm Wireless NF4V) and looking under the "Voice" section in "SIP Advanced Setting" I see a few options for Caller ID.

Caller ID send Delay Time(range 500~1500ms): 600

Caller ID Message Type: FSK_MDMF ( drop down menu also offers FSK_SDMF & DTMF)

FSK modulation Mode: BellcoreGen (drop down menu also offers V23Gen & V23UK)

I've tried all the variations but the Uniden, which claims to support FSK, doesn't want to tell me who's calling.

Any ideas? I might just return it if I can't get it working.

Thanks,

George
