Hello

We have a 2talk home/office set-up via the Gigaset C430A and everything(2 numbers) has been working flawless for years.

Now I would like to utilise the 2talk 028 number. I would like to be able to receive calls on that number on our system.

Does anyone know if/how I could get this to work?  I have gone through the set-up and it shows registered? On the PBX online portal it shows being off-line.Calls are not coming in.

Any ideas/hints?

Thanks in advance

Noig

Easiest way is to just log into the 028 number on their web-portal and go to call-forwarding-always and set it to one of your other numbers. Done & dusted, no other config changes needed :)

Thanks @speed

I have tried that a few days ago and it worked. Can't call out that way, can I?

Sorry, yes you are quite right. I read your statement "I would like to be able to receive calls on that number on our system." and thought that to mean that was all that you needed. My bad.

It wasn't your fault, rather my apology, as my question wasn't complete. So it looks like there isn't an option for in and out calls via 028 on our Gigaset system?

The 028 number should work exactly the same as the other numbers you have on your system already (from the perspective of your system connecting to 2talk).

You mentioned that 2talk's end reports that you're not registered. Can you see any settings that differ between the two configs on your system? Essentially the second one should be a straight clone of the working one. Registration is not required for outbound calls, but since your registration AND outbound calls both aren't working then it hints at a config issue. Perhaps the password on the 028 number is set different to the 'account password' or something similar like that.

It should be able to be made to work though, so keep persevering :)

OR, alternatively, if you just want to be able to present the 028 outbound calling-line ID on your outbound calls (but don't actually care other than that) then you could look at 2talk's 'MyCLID' feature which would let you rewrite the outbound CLID to the 028 number at their end instead.

@speed
Thanks a lot for your support. Using the wrong number when registering was my mistake.
I haven't tried yet though it is registered/ online on both ends. In any case your support got me across the line.
Best wishes, noig
