I think this one has been talked about before and might be obvious but I just want to double check something, does it cost anyone to ring t a skype number?

To ring a SkypeIn number from another PSTN line in NZ? The answer is no if you are within the same LICA (local calling area).

In other words - it works like a normal number. If someone calls your SkypeIn 09 number from Wellington then it will cost then a long distance call. Otherwise if they are in the same LCA as explained by sbiddle then it's free.

Cool thanks guys, thats very helpful, now I can promote my number, coz I am offering it to a service I am doing for Toastmasters and pretty much the only reason why I got it, and now that it's country wide free I can even call from Auckland - invercargil for only about $10.00 a month, I didn't get the worldwide one coz I don't deal with people overseas.

Thanks again
