Hi all, hope someone can help with this.

Here is my setup, laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium connects via wireless to D-Link DSL-604T router. I use a bt headset too.

My problem is that although I have no audio problems, people I call on their landline can hear the own voice echoing.

If I use Skype with exactly the same setup there is no problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Try a different headset, and/or a different softphone client.
