While this isn't exactly a VoIP device, I'm not really sure of a better forum for it and perhaps someone here will have dealt with one of these in the past.
I've got an old Panasonic KX-TD1232NZ (hw version 3) PBX at home. Its really just for me to play around with now that real land-lines are increasingly a thing of the past (if they aren't already completely). I can make screetching noises with dialup modems, I've got it hooked up to a VoIP ATA so I can receve voice calls from the outside world, etc.
While configuring the thing I've run into two issues. The first is that none of the PDF manuals out there seem to actually describe the device I have in front of me. The KX-TD1232CE manual is close, but my unit has some features (like CPC) which aren't described in that manual. I had to go look at what appears to be an American manual to learn how to configure my PBX so it could identify when an external call has ended, but the Amercian manual leaves out a bunch of features my unit has (primarily ISDN stuff, and some other things I probably don't care about). Does anyone happen to have programming and/or installation manuals for the KX-TD1232NZ specifically? All I can find online is the KX-TD1232NZ user manual which doesn't contain much setup information.
And the second: My VoIP ATA can be set to supply Caller ID information, and the Panasonic New Zealand website in 2001 claimed these things support Caller ID, but my units firmware (version P271G, date 10511A) doesn't appear to have any caller ID support and the connectors on the CO line card for the KX-TD193 Caller ID module are not present. Did these ever actually support Caller ID here at all? Was it only supported over ISDN PRI/BRI lines? Is there some other firmware version thats needed, and perhaps a different revision/version of the analog CO line card if Caller ID wasn't an ISDN-exclusive thing?
