Hello
I have signed up on the 30.03.09 for 2talk gofree so I can test it and intending to upgrade for business most likely.
Now, the 06.04, the very basic connection is still not working. Seems to be an 2talk problem as I see all my try calls I did on the web based setup. Except a few (out of 50-60calls), ther rest had the error"Your call can not be completed as dialled, please check the number and dial again".
It's very frustrating to wait an approx. week for the very basic setup.
Can anyone of you share the experiences, as it would make an easier decision if I want to go ahead with 2talk or look at some other providers.

sorry your still having trouble

if you want i can test your account to see if its a issue with your config/routers etc? so atleast you can rule that out? if so send me a PM

im sure the free accounts are not their priority help desk wise, but thats kind of a long wait, luckily ive never had to contact them before for myself and customers using it

Hi Mate, sent you a PM, testing was fine tho, worked perfectly on my end, must have tried 7-8 diff numbers

So perhaps a firewall / router issue on your side with the softphone? are you using anything other than the built in windows firewall on your pc?

PS change that password you sent me :)

Thanks. Yes I am using Comodo ver. 2.4.0
Must say that I tried our landlines phone numbers but that should not affect it, or does it?

are you able to add the softphone as an exception / trust app to that firewall?

my gut feeling is that firewall your using is the issue

you'd need to uninstall it really if adding it as an exception doesnt work, to be sure.

Are you using a PC or Mac. From what you told me over the weekend you were using a virtual machine on your Mac to run a Windows softphone.

Frankly in my opinion if you are doing that you are asking for problems with reliability. I run some Windows software on my Mac using Parallels and while a large number of programs will work reasonably, there are quite a number that have issues. For example I have problems accessing my Brother multi-function from Windows, some days it works, some days it doesn't, Quickbooks for Windows refuses to run, MYOB works fine, as does Excel & Word, and yet MS Access is flaky.

If you are using a Mac, I'd would strongly recommend you install a Mac softphone such as CounterPath's X-Lite (free) which has a Mac specific version available.

Sure enough,OS x got it straight away, at least for the first call. So I will have to extend the test later on this morning. Also my ata adapter hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully that will improve/speed up testing.
