We are running several fax lines thru 2talk and have been told that it is only best effort service and it runs at 93%. .. I doubt this and our figures show a lot worse than that. Has anyone else found issues with their fax to email service..

also.. anything on the WXC service as will look at porting to them.

Thanks

I have a few customers on WxC who fax, and it generally works very well. A few points:
- your DSL connection must be good and solid
- you need some good QoS management on your network
- the downstream is usually where you will likely find more issues (so on an incoming fax)

I'd advise using the fax to email service for receiving your faxes, and a T.38 capable ATA device (e.g. WRP-400, SPA2102) for connecting your fax machine for out going faxes. I have found very few issues with this setup.

If you need any help, I'm a WxC dealer so can help get you connected.

Thanks for that, i have set the outgoing faxes and eftpos to go out over the analogue line on sites, the fax to email for incoming is the main thing i want to find out about as 2talk is running around 50% success as per my list which is not good at all.

Thanks for help, will look at WXC thing.

What is failing with the 2talk fax to email? Are the faxes being succesfully sent to 2talk but not being received by email?

YES, 2talk are recieving the call, a fax tone sounds, you send the fax, get a completed signal, but nothing gets sent to email address specified.

It is fine on some lines but most have had terrible results costing business to clients so need to change to a reliable service.

So far I have not experienced any issues with the fax to email service from WxC, so would definitely be worth you giving this a go.
