Hi there
I recently brought a WRTP54G Unlocked off trademe, I'm using telstra Cable and have VOIP service with italk. The router has major problems it sometimes drops the wireless connection it sometimes drops the wired connection, it sometimes reset completly. Its standing so it should have any heat problems, its been like this since i got it a couple of weeks ago, before I had even setup the VOIP. any sensiable ideas I'm looking at setuping my old DI-524 and have the WRTP54G just as an ata. I dn't really want to spend any more money buying another router.
Thanks

I have the same router and had issues with it until I stood it up. I was tearing my hair out at the time and also got a firmware update. Now running 3.1.24.

I am not sure whether it was the firmware upgrade or standing it up but now pretty solid.

Approximately every 3 days it does some funny sort of freeze up and the power light turns red. I have to reset it when that happens. I logged a fault with linksys but never heard anything on the red light issue.

Cheers,

Matt.
