meesham: I have a Siemens C470IP which has the best of both worlds, a VOIP phone that uses DECT. They're not available in NZ (I picked mine up in Australia) but you can order them online from hip-ip, the coupon code "ausvat" will give you 15% off.
ChillingSilence: Depends on what you mean by WiFi phone, as the Linksys SPA942 / SPA962 etc can use a Wireless adapter like the Linksys WBP54g.
If you mean Cordless, it's usually more cost-effective to use an ATA and a decent cordless rather than a wifi-cordless.

A Skype cordless phone is very different from a SIP cordless phone. What exactly are you after?

In which case the best options are listed above. The Snom M3's are fantastic, Polycom Spectralink 8002's are also great or if you want a cheap option go for the Siemens.
I'm guessing all 3 are probably far in excess of what you want to pay. If that's the case then a cheap ATA and $39 DECT cordless phone will be the best option for you.
