Hi everyone, I wanted to ask a few questions as to who is the Best Broadband Provider for VOIP Service in Te Kuiti for a 5 or 10 G Plan and possibly Naked as we currently only use VOIP WITH 3 Lines.

I'm about to shift and want to choose a provider as I'm currently in the country and use Wireless Nation Satelight full speed 3G plan however it expensive and not the best for VOIP at all because of the Lacetcy issues.

We have multiple lines currently and have to transfer to each line for calls

I'm looking for the best supplier to run the VOIP for call quality

Running 3 lines over a single ADSL connection runs the risk of causing some issues unless you have a good internet connection.

You would certainly need to be using G.729 as your voice codec so you use as little bandwidth as possible but there would certainly be no guarantees that 3 calls will be handled with no issues.

Woops forgot to mention that we don't run all 3 lines at once, its maybe 2 at once and have other lines just awaiting to be answered if the call in or one goes onto hold to answer another.

Its the Service Provider I'm after as to who is best to connect with, is it Telecom, Telstraclear etc I'm unsure as I've only used Wireless Nation for the past 2 years and VOIP with 2talk as our providers

You run 3 separate lines with VoIP?!
With services like TFone (I think 2Talk do it too) you have whats called "concurrent calls" - meaning one line can take a stack of calls at the same time. You just buy as you need.

There is only a handful of naked dsl providers in NZ and they are Juiced, Kiwilink, Maxnet, Slingshot, Snap, Worldnet and Xnet. There is also Orcon and Vodafone that have this service as well but at the moment only in Auckland and Wellington at this stage I understand but those first few I mentioned should be able to provide you with a naked dsl service in Te Kuiti.
