Thinking of buying a couple of 7970's too play with now I have my 7912/40/60 phones working OK.
Has any one here got them working successfully with asterisk ? Some people say they are shockers to set up and the SIP functionality isn't flash, so before parting with the cash can anyone shed any light ?

By memeory the 7970 supports skinny / sccp protocol and not SIP

The feature table at above shows that they 7970 does do SIP so doubt it would work with Asterisk
