Afternoon all...

Got my PAP2T hooked up and sort of programed...

I set up a local chch number 03 929 0021.

I can call from my cordless (03 348 7235) to 03 929 0021... OK

However when I call from the PAP2T to 03 348 7235 I have to dial 03... not just 348... I assume this has something to do with the dial plan?

When I plug my Panasonic cordless in to the ATA I can't call anything... I can receive calls but not place them (even remembering to dial 03...)

Any tips and tricks given my configuration?

also don't get why it doesn't work with my cordless.

This is the one I use on mine. It's in Auckland but should work down there. Just copy ans paste into your dial plan

Thanks... 2Talk say:  ([2-9]xxxxxx|0[34679][2-9]xxxxxx|0210xxxxxxx|0212xxxxxx|021[3-9]xxxxx|02[0279]xxxxxxx|0240xxxxxx|024[1-9]xxxxxxx|0282[4-5]xxxxxx|050xxxxxxx|070xxxxxxx|080xxxxxxx|00xxxxxxx.|01[08]|017xx|12[356]|[19]11|*55|023xxxxxxxx|01[1234569]x.|02[56]x.|028[013456789]x.|0282[0123467890]|0282[01236789]|05[1-9]x.|08[1-9]x.|0[34679][0-1]x.|1[03456789]x.|11[023456789]x.|12[0124789]x.|*[012346789]x.|*5[012346789]x.)

which is really long compared to yours... can you give some explanation?  I don't even follow what the syntax means at present... (though looking at your example which is much simpler it starts to make some sense).

humm... that did fix the dialing problem for me thanks.  I can now just dial 348 ... and it rings though

Thanks.

now just got to figure out what the problem is with my cordless phone and why that won't work.

Ok... cordless now seems to work just fine as well... strange... wonder if I just has something wrong in the field.

However the line level is quiet.  On a couple of test calls the volume goes down quite a bit after the ringing finishs (ie called party answers).

idea?

Nice to see 2talk have updated their dialplan. Even if they have used a lot of my hard work! Smile

How old is the Panasonic Phone? Some of the really old ones that had the large handsets with the fixed rigid aerial at the top and a channel change button suffered from this problem (not sure of model sorry). Had one myself and ditched it and bought a Panasonic DECT phone in the end. Also connected to a PAP2T

No explanation as the one I sent to you was from their webpage setup guide  when I setup mine about a year ago..  Glad you sorted it though..

I fixed the dialing... now I've just got sound quality issues.  sounds distorted.  I've played with the levels

FXS Port Input Gain: -2
FXS Port Output Gain 1

now the next problem is that the line sounds like an off tune radio.

Not really sure what you change to fix that.

They are way to high, you should have them on the default levels or possibly down as low as -9 for some handsets. You also need the correct FXO port impedance.

I had much lower levels and couldn't hear properly and was told that I was to quiet.  The volume is good now.

FXO port impedance. - I assume that should be 600ohm, no idea how I set that either, I just followed the instructions on the 2t site (which were very good I confess)... nothing simple about setting one of these boxes up, that's for sure.  (going to work on that problem next with some simple scripts to just whack all the settings in unless someone's ready done that and I just didn't find the info).

On a side issue...

What am I blocking that I shouldn't be that's causing gz to loose the reply buttons and half the post on the right hand side?
