Ok, setting up the PATA2 was a doddle...

plug it in, check my server to find out what ip dhcp assigned then browse http://IPAssignedByDHCP...

Not quite as simple with SPA2102 I'm guessing?

I plugged the 'internet' side into the switch, I can see from the server that it's been given an IP, but I can't browse its web interface.

I'm sure I'm doing something really dumb here, but thought it might be quicker just to ask.

Its been locked down to only listen on the Ethernet port, not the Internet port - so you will need to connect a PC directly via ethernet to that port, and then you can access the web interface.

Hope that helps?

Because it is a router as well, admin access is blocked from the WAN (internet) port by default. You will need to connect temporarily to the LAN (ethernet) port, and can turn on WAN admin access if you need to.
