I have set everything up. I can dial out of my network but when I ring my iTalk number, none of the phones ring.

Peer Details

secret=xxxx

host=akl.italk.co.nz
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=from-pstn
canreinvite=no
allow=ulaw

Resistration string: username:password@akl.italk.co.nz/username

What is really weird is that while typing this email I received an incoming call from my Dad who is also and iTalk customer.

So in short, I can dial out and receive calls from iTalk customers but for all other calls in, the caller can hear the ringing sound but nothing rings on my end.

I have another incoming trunk  which works perfectly so I know the exchange works.

Your post is extremely confusing but it sounds like you're trying to register multiple VoIP devices behind a NAT firewall all using the same port. This can't work. You need to start assigning ports to different connections.

Hi, I am probably not expressing myself properly.

I have four trunks
1) VoipStunt which I only use for dialling out.
2) Slingshot for dialing out
3) Slingshot for dialing in
4) ipcomms which I receive calls on

Ports 1,2 and 4 work but 3 sometimes works and sometimes not. Nowhere do I remember specifying ports. Why would all but one work. I tried disabling 4 incase it was clashing with 3 but not joy.

Sorry I've just started doing this sort of thing so have probably bitten off more than I can chew but I must be close... only one trunk doesn't appear to work

Cheers

I think its my register string
username:password@akl.italk.co.nz/password

Slingshot won't help me with it so I am guessing what it should be.

No idea. Don't use or recommend iTalk due to all it's shortcomings and total lack of support from Slingshot so can't help you any more.

My recommendation would be to use a platform that offers support.

Sruggle too with setting up iTalk - this is what works for me:

type=friend
secret=password
username=649974XXXX
fromuser=649974XXXX
host=akl.italk.co.nz
dtmfmode=rfc2833
insecure=port,invite
nat=yes
canreinvite=no
disallow=all
allow=ulaw&alaw
qualify=yes

user context: italk-in

type=friend
secret=password
username=649974XXXX
fromuser=649974XXXX
host=akl.italk.co.nz
dtmfmode=rfc2833
insecure=port,invite
nat=yes
canreinvite=no
disallow=all
allow=ulaw&alaw
context=from-trunk
qualify=yes

649974XXXX:password@akl.italk.co.nz

Hope it helps

Thanks for that... it appears that slingshot made a mistake when porting my number across.... discovered this when I setup iTalk using a Linksys PAP2 and it still didn't work. Haven't been able to receive calls since I joined last Thursday.... they promise me tomorrow :-) will wait and see....
