I am on naked DSL with Snap (great service by the way) and I have my phone plugged into a Linksys PAP 2T and then into my Draytek Vigour 2700Ge modem.

I n the last few days I am unable to use the phone, either no connection at all or it is dropped in a few secs. Snap have observed the connection being dropped every time I try to use the phone.

Also in the last few days my speedtest results have jumped from around 6.8Mbs and they are now around 10Mbs so it looks like I have just been put on to ADSL2.

My question, does anyone know if going up to ADSL2 from ADSL1 would cause issues with the PAP2T? Snap have said that Chorus will want a $200 no-fault fee if it is a problem with my equipment.

I only have one phone socket, no filters or any other items connected.

Thanks.

I have a Pap2T running on Orcon ADSL 2 with no problems.

You could try to configure up the second port and see if it's something in your setup it doesn't like or the first port has a fault in it.

If you've just been put on a new ISAM with Ikanos linecard it could be the Draytek playing up.

Have only had the Draytek a few months and its been working great up till now.
Do I need to reconfig it for 2/2+ or should that happen automagically?
