Ok, I have tried several routers thisevening so it might be in that strange stuck state that sip gets. will leave it off for a while and see if it comes back after a while.

my registrations are timing out. I had tried another router as I was getting no auth before, but that piece of junk had no DMZ that I could find, so I expect that there was loads of registrations go out and not work so will wait till they timeout.

Need to get slingshot to get onto telecom about my low sync speeds tomorrow since its clearly not router issue as they claimed last time

Something whackys going on, the only incoming on sip that tcpdump shows is from my overseas provider that is registering and working fine, and those random doorknockers that fail2ban deals with.

No idea why its not working, I can see the stuff go out to 2talk and italk, nothing comes back from them, they have not ended up in the fail2ban chain, I can ping 2talk.co.nz and italk.co.nz.

Am about to try the details in the old sipura 9000 tomorrow and see what that does, but this is just weird. I have my static in there with externip in sip.conf at the top, and it has always worked in the past till these last few days where first italk died, now 2talk, not too sure how to look at the actual sip stuff going out, but I would expect to see something if the auth is not suddenly wrong or something.

Well thats weird, did a router firmware upgrade and it sorted it on the DG834Gv4. will have to try the backup router again later but its working for now. the new one added an option to disable the SIP ALG which I tried. and then stuff registred. Not sure if its a conincidence so will leave it and see. Worked forever (9 months at least) on the router with the old firmware without that option to tick so I dont see what it could be here that's changed.

I notice that 2Talks discussion forum vanished about a month ago.. Guess they didn't like people talking about them and their bad tech support..

Same problem for me yesterday around midday...
I changed the sip port from 5060 to 5061 and it has worked since. I wonder what it could be?

[EDIT] On my PAP2T log, it showed an error when logging into 2Talk servers. -It couldn't find them.

They have increased their IP pool I think as I used to only get IP's ending in .16x now I get .18x also.
Also I note that when you register the incoming calls can come from multiple IP's, I register to .163 but get incoming calls from .160,.182,.163 etc.

To solve it on my phone I needed to enable DNS SRV

Hmmmm
