Hey guys, I have been trawling the forums and all the ISP providers for the best (reliable) deal for broadband and phone line/voip.

Currently with Xnet Fusion but about given up waiting on cheaper pricing..

From all the options, the above seems to be the cheapest option going on 60gb use.  $75 for both 60gb and 2talk, not bad.  Better than the $130 I'm paying now.

Would anyone have a reason why I shouldn't make the switch? :)

I'm on Vodafone Naked BB and use 2talk.

You can also setup 2talk through the free modem Vodafone send out as it has 2 built in VoIP ports, however VF don't support setting up other voip services so that will be up to you.

And remember 2talk is $10 plus GST so you're really paying $12.50 for the voip line.

Is that right the Vodafone modem has 2 voip ports? I didnt know that. Just set my father and stepmother down in Nelson up on Vodafone naked and 2 talk so as to save them some money for their homephone and broadband. Had I known that the modem had voip ports I would probably have not bought a SPA2102. But to answer OPs question on Vodafone naked broadband and 2talk my stepmother is very happy with the setup that I did for her and everything is going well with it. I am actually going that way myself now to save some dollars too. I am already on 2talk but just changing my mobile and naked broadband onto Vodafone.

If you are not confident setting up your VoIP account, or don't want potential issues of number porting; I'd recommend move your N-DSL only, and keep your VFX line for $11.50 per month. A lot less hassle, but will still save you $$.

The WAG310G modem/router mentioned in that thread was a dog of a device to say the least. I had no end of trouble with it myself. If the OP has a PAP2T or SPA2102 then 2talk have auto provisioning for those devices which would take away the hassle of manually putting all the settings in. I have done 3 number ports to 2talk now including one from VFX to 2talk for my son and they all went like clockwork. It looks like the OP is looking for cheaper phone pricing as well as broadband and in the end it is up to him which service will give him best value for money. Incidentally it is $11.50 for the $10.00 plan on 2talk as GST is not 25% yet.

Ah thanks guys, I knew there would be some great replies here.  Yes I have the PAP2T.  Great idea on sticking with VFX, I guess there would be no real reason to switch to 2Talk if they are the same price.  

If the Vodafone modem has voip ports it might tidy things up, but I do like my Netgear RangeMax.  Have signed up, guess will be a little experimenting with the setup :)  Will save a bomb. And to think I was that close to going with a 2 year contract with Orcon Genuis.

Gotta love geekzone, thanks guys for the advice!
