So, it seems the 2talk platform is down, but it seems to be there connection via APE, unfortunately it doesn't seem I have any other path to them than that one, so wondering if others have noticed?

DNS is down completely also, which means they won't be getting emails to their support either.....

I don't see why they didn't just rent a cheap VPS so that NS2 is always geographically separated, it's a bit stupid to have the two primary name servers in the same DC on the same Internet Connection.

Also, using 2talk.co.nz as the registration address also is a bit silly, they should use a sub domain like voip.2talk.co.nz and change the TTL on those records down to 60 seconds and leave the 2talk.co.nz records higher so they don't have so many queries hitting them all the time....

So now no number to call, no point emailing them because they won't get it, sigh... just sit and wait I guess...

Oh well rant over, hopefully they notice... Unlikely I guess though.

Callplus and Slingshot are also down - looks like a fairly major outage.

It's two separate things from what I can tell. We have a direct ethernet with them in SKT which bypass's all of callplus and plugs direct into their core. It's down aswell, They are having switching problems from what I can tell

Most problems are the result of previous solutions...

I am similar, 2 hops from my edge to them direct over ape. They have a power outage and are working on it. Potentially what has occurred is they are in call plus data centre.

I'd have to change a few more settings across the place as the registrations use TCP, and G722, but if it isn't back up in 30 minutes or so I guess I'll do that.

They may need to edit their website :)

What's new in 2talk+

Improved redundancy

2talk+ uses our own Internet address space that enables us to multi-home our service allowing us to easily switch or automatically failover from one hosting provider to another in the event of an upstream outage or network issue.

Greater resiliency

2talk+ has increased automation for failover in the unlikely event of system issues or hardware failures, allowing us to switch to backup/standby systems in seconds.
