Behodar: Update complete (in a VM). The first thing I noticed is that my timezone has set itself to Eastern Australia...

do you have a VPN running or connecting to a corp network with an AU IP?

Mines stuck at 32% in Windows Update, although I'm not entirely fussed the CPU light is not busy like it should be though.

Not using a VPN, and https://who.is reports "country: NZ".

Edit: https://www.iplocation.net/ seems to query multiple databases, and returns a spread between Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington and Gisborne. All of these are wrong but at least they're all in NZ!

If you get what we have seen on a number of computers (Mobile) where BSOD loop occurs during upgrade, then disable secure boot from BIOS.

Hard to believe they released it whilst it was doing this.... Or maybe it isn't unbelievable any more. Used to be...

interesting you can go into the time settings and turn off automatic time settings etc, i noticed this same issue when i upgraded it put me on PST time, i was running a US VPN.

I have 10x Windows 10 Pro PCs to update (all different). All are at the same location, wired to the same router and switch.

So far I have tried 5 PCs:

2 deny that there is any update due*
2 have updated to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586. (big downloads at full line speed)
1 has downloaded but refuses to update:

"We're having trouble restarting to finish the install.
Try again in a little while.
If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help.
This error code might help: (0x800706b5)"

Only 5 to go ...

* I suspect that installs are staggered by mac address rather than by location or by IP address (all my PCs have the same IP address)

Thought you would be using the ISO or Media Creation Tool for multiple installs.

I successfully downloaded the update to Windows 10 via Updates after 8am (I went away for a while, so it did nothing until I hit 'restart now'), and it has installed without any issue.

Yep, mines all done, I knew it would be a normal thing to do, just waiting to see the update on my laptop now!

My PC just did a big update and now its on ver 10586.3. Is this what you are talking about?

It broke my network drivers, no fun trying to fix those without an internet connection.
It also removed a program it said was no longer compatible. It didnt ask me, it just removed it and told me afterwards. Not impressed about that.

It took about 35 minutes on my i7 with 8GB RAM and an SSD.
I'm hesitant about running it on my old Core2Duo lappie with 4GB RAM, it might do a Captain Oates on me.

Im still awaiting update to hit for me..

Not keen to see Driver issue popping up after install! would have hoped slightly faster than 35 mins on an SSD!

UPDATE: I have now tried to update all 10 PCs.

RESULT:

3 x PCs still deny that the update is available.*

1 x PC downloaded the update, then refused to install it. I used system restore, then installed again successfully.

6 x PCs downloaded the update at full line speed and installed it without problems. I was impressed by the MS servers.

* By Murphy's Law, the 3 PCs in denial are all mission-critical, with lots of software on board - I do NOT want to do a fresh install with these ones.

So I'll just wait ...

EDIT: Successful installs took at least 30 minutes each (onto SSD drives) - plus download time.

I'm going to use the Media Creation tool to download and update my system, I'm keen to see the changes.
