Geektastic: Glad to hear it.

It's not quite an Apple Care response though! I am amazed that they do not sell a similar product.

we do.

If you buy a Surface from a Commercial reseller you get free advanced exchange (forward replacement)

If you buy a Surface from a Commercial reseller you can also purchase the Microsoft Complete Warranty which includes device replacement thru an Accidental Damage warranty

If you buy a Surface from a Commercial reseller you will also soon be able to buy a new warranty called Microsoft Complete for Enterprise that allows you to pool claims across the business, and also includes an Onboarding experience where we will train your users on how to use Windows 10 & Surface

After a couple of hiccups Microsoft came to the party and replaced my Surface for which i am very appreciative.

Thanks for this information Nathan. I am looking to purchase one commercially once stock arrives. Can you advise whether the above list is linked anywhere on Microsoft's site? It's not that I don't believe you but I am keen to see the full details.

Commercial warranty is only about $80 so it is well worth it!

That seems to be for businesses only so can't be similar to apple care unless I am missing something.

You don't need to be a business to buy the Microsoft Complete for Business warranty.

Likewise, to get advanced exchange/forward replacement you don't need to be a business.

So how do I register a commercial Surface Pro 4?

And can I buy the Microsoft Complete for Business warranty from the Microsoft store?

Thanks. I am in the process of registering now and am asking one of the co's for prices on the warranty choices. I may do a review post on the Pro 4 i5 later after I get all my software installed. I'm only part way through.
