You can use the exchange? I am just using an old NZ ISP pop/smtp account. Just a family desktop PC here. No server.
When it was working, I have simply just used a different calendar. I used my Outlook.com calendar with the "Outlook Hotmail Connector" on the desktop to align that to Outlook.com
Yep, you can use exchange.
I use Outlook 2010 on my laptop. I have an Xtra account that I use with POP and I have another account which uses a domain name for a business we have, (the email address is xyz@domain.co.nz) this account was originally hosted on Windows Live which has morphed into Outlook Mail. One reason for running this account in this manner was for the ability to sync a calendar. Originally we couldn't have our emails with a calendar sync feature hosted by our website hosting company.
With the recent changes to the Outlook servers this account stopped working in my laptop but continued to work on my mobile devices. After much dicking around I got it working again. In the end I had to create an alias for the account that used an Oulook.com email address. I did this thru the web access portal of Outlook.com. Once I had created the alias I was able to use the auto configure option in Outlook 2010 to add a new account. Note: I had deleted the account in Outlook 2010 prior to this.
All the information I read told me to remove or disable Hotmail connector prior to re adding the account.
Hope this makes sense.
