Use the convert/save fuction on VLC or via iTunes.  WMP was a bucket of bolts anyway.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

kiwifidget: I do have an Insider Build so that may explain why WMP has gone AWOL.

You should probably report that via the feedback app; it could well be a bug in the build.- that’s not uncommon!

hmmm, i'm trying to use VLC now.

Can it only do 1 track at a time? As I cant seem to get it to do the whole CD at once.

?play the album folder rather than open the album folder and play first track and expect it to keep playing.

I just deleted windows media player.

Then

  1. Opened cmd as admin.
  2. Ran sfc /scannow
  3. Windows media player was restored.
