freitasm:

HDMI cable.

Is it a 2.0 cable though?  I was running some tests on my Apple TV 4K last week and found the HDMI cable couldn't handle the bandwidth for the test, even though it seemingly performed OK with HDR and 4K.  Turns out I'd used a short 1.4 cable I had laying around.  Upgraded to a $15 2.0 cable and it worked perfectly after that.  If you're using a 1.4 cable maybe it is handling most things fine but adding HDR into the mix was the proverbial straw?

Yes. And since it can be captured with with a sniping tool it sounds more like Windows or drivers than the cable or monitor.

I dont use a nVidia card - but does the driver have a YCbCr422 setting - if so, what happens if one selects it and then chooses 10 bit.
