The manufacturer supplied tweaking and monitoring programs are usually useless bloat. I recommend RealTemp and SpeedFan for monitoring. RealTemp seems to be slightly better than CoreTemp.

I would recommend updating to the latest Bios, you can see the changes here and there is a bios update guide here

Unfortunately you will have to break out a floppy disk and drive to do this which is a surprising throwback to the late 90's.  For comparison every Asus motherboard in recent years has been able to update bios from USB drive/thumb stick.

Abit has been in serious decline as a leading motherboard manufacturer for many years sadly.
