Thanks - I already have that - but don't really use it since never needed it before - don't know if it would have worked when MYOB told me to try IE or not.

My suggestion is to install IE8 the add ons are easier to work with.  so thats the first thing to do.

next thing to do is open ie8 with that command prompt i gave you earlier. disable all add ons by clicking on tools manage add ons

start turning them on one by one to find out which add on is causing the problem. I would suggest it would be flash or a printer add (some kind of web print). you can do this by (in IE8) going to tools , manage addons, you will then need to select all addons. by defualt it is set to loaded add ons and i dont think you can see them cause you would be in no add on mode

if its flash you need to uninstall it from add remove programs. you may need to run the flash uninstaller, have a google it should be easy to find. if you carnt post back here and i will get you a link.

then go to adobe.com and download the latest flash player.

if its somthin else you will just have to turn em on one by one until ie starts crashing again.

hint you dont have to type the command in every time to the command prompt you can just push the up arrow and it should come back. or just copy and past it in.

Please let me know which add on was causing you the problem thanks

OK - right now I feel VERY very silly. Had turned off the addins - and it still didn't run. Was driving me crazy. Then I tried running your command without the last option - and it ran. This was unexpected - so I checked the options of the program object - and guess what? It was pointing to a different (non-existent) IE. So I changed it and all is now well - at least with the basic program. I don't know how or when it got changed - but all seems well now. Just have to decide which options to turn on.

So thanks for all the help - and we're now working. Yahoo. Another problem down.

Just so you know its often a fault when you go from IE 6 to IE7 and the update doesnt take.

it was glitchy like that.
