Hi

I work for Microsoft New Zealand, sorry you are having problems with support

Please refer to our Christchurch Earthquake support options page

http://www.microsoft.com/nz/canterbury/default.aspx

when you call support on 0800 800 004 please explain clearly to them that you are just tring to activate your Windows XP machine, not asking for typical support case to be opened

Cheers
Nathan

But Nathan I did take the Chch support option on the phone (press 1)

I just find it hugely obnoxious that Microsoft would fail the activation, and then try to charge me when I ask "why?"

the online activation shouldn't be failing if its been a few months since you last activated that XP license key

If when you call back support 0800 800 004 you are continuing to have problems with getting them to activate over the phone, please feel free to call me directly on 021 375503

Thanks
Nathan
