gjm: just a reminder that this is due to be released today, or rather tonight NZ time. I've been running Windows 7 since the beta of that came out so am weighing up whether to do the same with Win 8.

Who else is gonna grab it?

I've taken a look --- maybe I am old or something, but , I just just don't really like windows 8 as a desktop OS. An OS should get easier to use, but, in this case windows 8 is just harder to use than win7.

However as a tablet OS it is probably very good.

Have to agree surfisup1000, W8 on a desktop I can not imagine at all.

I downloaded 64bit version this morning within 40 minutes which surprised me!! Going to install soon to have a play.
