just a reminder that this is due to be released today, or rather tonight NZ time. I've been running Windows 7 since the beta of that came out so am weighing up whether to do the same with Win 8.
Who else is gonna grab it?

billgates: It's being released on 1st March 3AM NZT.
I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.
dontpanic42: I wonder if Microsoft Flight will be released at exactly the same time?
If so, I'd imagine Microsoft's servers will be struggling a fair bit.
Looking forward to the Windows 8 Consumer Preview for sure.
I think I'll load it onto my Laptop first though to test it out.
If it's stable enough for day-to-day use, I might consider putting it on my main desktop.
I'm still not so sure about the whole "no-start-menu" thing.

If it can't be disabled from within Windows there are 3rd party apps that will give back the traditional start menu and disable the Metro UI. I did this with the developers preview.
