If you do a clean install the chances are the bluetooth will work once it's done as it was designed to run on windows 8.1 you shouldn't have a problem just using the 8.1 driver for the BT hardware anyways although you might just need to install it after the OS installation is done if Windows 10 doesn't install a driver for it then just download it and install it manually

thankfully here's the Windows 10 X64 driver just for you and the rest are here

There shouldn't be any reason why you shouldn't upgrade to 10. There must be a way around the Bluetooth driver issue. If it's not a deal breaker if upgrade to 10 and worry about blue tooth after. My 10 year old Vista laptop ran it fine.

I'd guess it's fine if Toshiba has approved it already.

Sorry I have not got round to checking the manual for the disable instructions as intended yet. ; (.

Is there a way to skip the warning? I'm aware there is a regkey but is there some magic key hold down to achieve the same manually?

By the way if you are still in warranty, this is a supported upgrade for your model. If you call or contact Toshiba help, it is likely they can provide a quick fix for this one.

I'd try downloading the Windows 10 drivers from Toshiba i.e. http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p50/psptsa-00x006/download?os=33

Try Broadcom Bluetooth Filter Driver package, Intel Bluetooth filter driver package, Realtek bluetooth filter driver package.

Once downloaded, open Device Manager and 'uninstall' the drivers which show in the compatability checker as having a problem (the HFP Sco Driver and Bluetooth A2DP Sink). These might show up under System dev

Then try installing the downloaded packages (until you find out if it is Realtek, broadcom or Intel)

If that doesn't work, you might need to try downloading the BIOS update from that link and running it

P.S you'll have to run the command at this link http://www.thewindowsclub.com/manually-run-windows-10-compatibility-appraiser  after making any changes (i.e. updating drivers) - or wait a couple of days until Windows re-prompts you to update.
