I assumed he cloned the entire disk

Plus it's also not detecting the drive

It was said earlier that the partitioning probably wasn't done right.

More than once I've used Easeus Todo Backup to clone a HDD to a SSD, and it hasnt been able to boot the SSD afterwards.

When I've just tried again, and done the clone a 2nd time, then it worked -shrug-

Try it again. At least it normally doesn't take long to clone a SSD.

Or try macrium free. That's my go to clone program.

I think I just killed it.

While I was trying to disconnect the battery, I may have shorted something.

It won’t power up or show any signs of life whatsoever.

Who’s doing the best laptops interest free at the moment?...
