freitasm: It feels faster, the context menu looks a lot better and overall working fine.

I can't seen to be able to find where to adjust font colour though. Depending on what image is on the background Windows selects some colours that are really hard to read...

I can change colours but only for the taskbar, title bar and background, but not for the font?

@nathan I've submitted feedback - but looking the list of existing ones they mostly read like YouTube comments. I am always afraid genuine feedback would fall between the cracks.

Anyway, I found after a few searches that if I disable anti-aliasing in the GPU 3D settings then this should be correct:

Installed on wife's HP Folio 13 using the USB created for my own HP EliteBook. It was very fast and all done without a hitch. As noticed on my own laptop, hers seems to be faster too.

HP Pavillion laptop upgraded, testing it now for performance as I notice the OS much faster on my desktop. The laptop earlier today almost lost it life when somthing with cleaning out it's non-essential files caused the computer to loose the OS from boot. Managed to recover using system restore points so thank god!

I have now updated 10 x PCs.
8 of them "volunteered" and the other 2 denied that there was an update due - so I used the media creation tool.
No major problems were experienced.

The update typically took 30 minutes + (with a SSD drive) plus download time.
My fastest PC (with an i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, & a very fast (5Gbps) system drive  = OCZ Revodrive) took 27 minutes.

I had to re-install Speccy (freeware) and StartIsBack (highly recommended). All other software worked fine after the upgrade.

I really wish they hadn't change all my file associations in the upgrade. It's really annoying.

Does anyone know where MS Edge now stores it favourites.  It is not in the same place prior to the upgrade.

Thanks

The update failed in my two pcs, both were via the normal update system. Am guessing eventually it will fix itself. Seems buggy though, not up to apples iOS. standards when it comes to updates, which win 10 is trying to replicate.

A couple more annoyances:

- The remote server admin tools (RSAT) needed to be re-downloaded and installed
- The RSAT tools STILL haven't been localised properly. They won't install on an EN-GB (English-International) version of Windows. The EN-US language pack is a pre-requisite
- The EN-US language pack that was already applied to the system was removed - I would have expected it to be kept and updated

I can deal with these but I'd rather not have to each time a new build is pushed out.

RSAT has always been like this

Windows moves to a servicing or an update model from now onwards
I.e the next major Windows release won't be a 3Gb download upgrade but an update

Anyone expreiencing longer boot / shutdown times on their Notebook PC ?

A freind of mine said he is waiting 5-6 minutes for the PC to load although he then noted that the computers been serveral years old, have gone through several OS upgrades since Windows 7.

My Notebook HP PC is a year old and performs well, but when booting down the screen shuts down but the computer remains on for around 2-4 minutes with the screen off, usually before the update it shuts down 20 secs normal. No updates in check. So will replicate the issue till Patch Tuesday Comes around then, ill make a note on the feedback to both HP and Microsoft, otherwise really good and job well done

All updated here now, Great to have a working startmenu now!

Bit of a pain it removing some programs, i don't actually know what was removed past speccy...

Biggest unexpected change i have noticed so far, is the change of font in cmd.

This happened to me in one of ten upgrades. undecided

System restore to pre-failed-upgrade.
Try again.

Worked for me.  wink

I just updated my lenovo laptop with the fall update.

Something is now going wrong, it now takes about 1 minute to copy a file from my desktop into another folder on the same drive.

The copy dialog just hangs there at 99% for about a minute or so.

Really annoying.

I now have the option to eject my C drive in the "Safely remove hardware and Eject Media" dialogue. Has any one tried it?

Edit: My NUC computer only shows the USB drive.
