beehappy: Hi
This may be a silly question but if I install the new test version of windows 10 how hard will it be to install the final version
thanks Pete

Meant to be an easy upgrade but no-one knows for sure since RTM does not exist yet :)

True, but they have said the plan is to be able to just upgrade to RTM. To be honest, even if I can just upgrade I will probably do a clean install of RTM anyway to clear out accumulated junk from various beta builds.

Yabanize: The base version of windows 10 not just the 'pro' or 'enterprise' versions should get Bitlocker.

Personal uses like encrypting things these days, just look and Android and iOS

I'd love to use bitlocker but my computer doesn't have a TPM, whatever that is. any idea where i can get one?

Usually built into the hardware. You can still use Bitlocker though - it will ask for the password on boot to start using the drive.

Can I ask, if one encrypts a drive, will everything be slower?

Will Windows Defender updates automatically install when they are downloaded or when all the other updates are installed?

You shouldn't notice anything different.

Have Microsoft finally added support for high-res audio over USB like what Mac has had forever? As in plug your external DAC in and it just works without having to install hokey this party drivers?

I'm actually wondering about QHD+ high res display support. This has been my biggest issue on my Dell, trying to run things like Eclipse, Gimp, PSD, etc. Adobe has been saying they're working with Microsoft to support this since Win8 came out.

That's great, thanks! Now... to fix the whole slew of other apps that wouldn't scale in Win8 and 8.1... it seems GTK-based (I think that's what Gimp uses?) scaling issues. I went to install Tizen SDK the other day and couldn't see what the install screens contained. I can't say 100% for certain that it's all Windows issues, but it feels like it.
