kiwifidget: Why is the BT folder over 6GB when the download is only supposed to be 3GB?

StevieT:J32: My windows update page says now "Downloading Windows 10" and "preparing for installation". Will see how far I get.
Let us know how you get along.
My ~BT folder is still sitting at 6.62GB in size (although it states the size on disk is less than that), containing 17,745 files and 3,602 folders.
I hope by running setup.exe before I haven't buggered things up.

It finished the download and then I got an error "Failed: 1 Update", "Code 80240020". I have seen a few people on Reddit who had the same error.
DizzyD:J32: I did not have the BT folder at all. Just went into the console and entered "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" and it started the download right away.
Thanks tried that. But all it seems to do is kick off the GUI Windows update process.
But when looking in windows update I see this error:
Looking up that error code shows no results from Microsoft either.
My standard windows updates were always working correctly. I wonder if this has something to do with me cleaning up some of my temp files yesterday. I did clean out
C:\Users\?<User Names>\AppData\Local\Temp\ to make space for the upgrade when it became available.

This command worked for me, fired off the upgrade prompt and took about half an hour to upgrade

DeepBlueSky: I'm coming in late on this thread so sorry if its been asked already. I have three systems for my main PC I've left it on today so bit of luck I'll have the update ready to install, for my daughters and my laptops I'm installing the Windows 10.iso should be quicker I hope. Looking at the posts above is the better bet to upgrade from the ISO ? I didn't have issues with updates OS updates from the insider programme so has something changed.

Each download is around 3Gb per machine, or you will be able to download an ISO shortly, hopefully 4PM
