help! ive been trying to help a friend, with her  Sony Vaio  , she has lost internal speaker sound, but works when hooking up external speakers. i spent 3 hours today i tried lastest sound drivers, the sony official site drivers, new codecs,
(cccp) looked at device settings , all said it was working fine, more advice please! ive tried what fixed my computer!

If it works with external speakers could it be that there's some dirt in the adapter/plug fitting that prevents it from resetting back to the "internal" position?

Try blowing some compressed air into that to clean it.

i think its more software issues she deleted a whole lot of stuff but no drivers then thats when it stopped, i reinstalled the drivers ,even tried the sony site, still no luck. wonddering if something to do with microsoft restributable software?
