Hi folks, need some help!

I am looking to upgrade my Office suite from 2003 to 2007.  As I have e-mails stored on my laptop in the form of a .PST file, can Outlook 2007 handle this file?  In other words, do they both use the same filing system?

Cheers!

Make sure you back up your PST file just in case the upgrade goes bad.

Thanks guys!:)  Geekzone rocks!

Yeah, I will backup the PST files.  I wouldn't wanna lose close to 20,000 e-mails!

If you dont want to lose them, and are backing up only now for the upgrade, you have been at risk for a long time. You should regularly backup data you dont want to lose, perhaps a 2nd harddrive (or USB external drive) from a data integrity point of view, and onto DVD (AS WELL AS THE 2nd DRIVE), to keep offsite...

Yes, I do actually backup on a weekly basis via my external USB hard drive from Creative, the Creative Yion.  Such a small and slim device without the need of a power cord:)

A few years ago I lost everythig and from that day on I am paranoid about backing up my important files.

I have on my computer things going back to 1994, when I started doing backups. I might have to actually delete some stuff, not because of space, but for sanity check...
