Hi:

I have just Recieved Vista for my laptop through the Asus Vista upgrade program. I am currently running Xp.

Of course to my curiosity i want to see how vista goes on my laptop, but i have few questions before i go ahead:

1. The windows XP setup files are on my Hard Drive, in a Hidden Recover Partition (i have the xp recovery disc too, to my knowlodge the setupfiles are not on the disc.), will i be able to "roll back"  to xp if i find vista is not for me?

2. I have heard that XP CD KEY becomes invalid after vista is installed, is this true?

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

1) As long as you don't overwrite or delete that partition during install you will be fine. I don't think Vistas install will even see it, so no problems there. To reinstall XP you will only have to insert the CD.

2) No.
