Sorry to take up your time.

I can find my certificates 2 ways - internet options -> content OR certmgr.msc

trouble is when I export a certificate, the certificate export wizard comes up and forces me to select the file to export

I don't have  a file to export, I had just right clicked on the darn cert!

Can anyone help?

Is it after going through the wizard? If so, that's letting you select the target file name (i.e. where to export it to, not from)

If you try and don't succeed, remove all evidence you ever tried :)
