I have recently built a new PC and have chosen to go with the ASUS p9x79LE motherboard, after installing all the drivers and AI suite 2... I simply ran ccleaner and of course it deleted my temp files, after that on logon I got error messages for ASUS setup saying that a certain inii or ini file had been deleted and it kept alerting me of these messages, I though it was AI suite and had trouble and hassle to remove it. After that I ran Ccleaner again and the same problem happened. My Temp folder (pretty sure its the one in Appdata\Local) So I'm wondering if there is some way I can delete all my temp files safely.

Now, to my next problem, I'm sure many people on this forum overclock. Me however am new to it, I of course dont want to overclock however one time I was checking out AI suite when I accidentally hit a hotkey. So my PC automatically shut off, when I booted back up I got this error message saying Overclock failed, at that time I was stressed and had no clue of what happened. So I went to the BIOS went to Asus optimal settings then clicked on Power saving CPU mode, then back on normal mode to make sure it was not overclocked. Then I saved and rebooted. My question is, as a very novice noob, whether my CPU is still slightly overclocked from stock or not, my CPU is an Intel core i7 3820,

From CPU-Z

Core Voltage - 1.296V

Core Speed - 3802.0MHZ

Bus Speed - 100.1MHZ

Rated FSB - 3201.9MHZ

And from looking at Images of the CPU in CPU-z online, their CPU stepping is 6 and mine is 7.

If you require any further information to solve my issues, please ask.

Thanks.

Sounds to me like you should just uninstall AI suite, it's not actually needed. Are you using it for something?

If you are not confident, don't overclock. Also just uninstall AI suite, you don't need it.
Also you don't need to run ccleaner after everything you do. As you have already seen, it does not know what every file under the sun is and whether to remove it or not. It can be a bit of a hammer rather than a scalpel especially when it comes to registry and file "cleaning". Just let windows take care of things and troubleshoot if things go wrong. Windows 7 and above are good at keeping themselves fast.

Thanks for your help guys, although I tried to run Revo and then found out the uninstaller needed a restart :|... So if you know, are there any left over files that might be in my system?

if there are, don't worry about it, they won't affect anything.
