Hi Gang,
My Windows Messenger (v4.7) running on WinXP Pro SP2 keeps signing me out. Every time I try to send a message after being idle for 5 or 10 minutes, it says I can't send because I'm not signed in.  I right click the icon on the System Tray and sign in, then all is well until I sit idle for a while. Then I have to sign in again to send a message.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Welcome to Geekzone. Any reason why you wouldn't want to swap from Windows Messenger to Live Messenger instead? It's newer, lots of bugs fixed...

You can install the new version, make sure you uncheck the box for the Windows Messenger to start with Windows and you should be ok to go.
