Have a HP AIO Desktop albeit not a high end one (Pavilion 20)
I upgraded to 8.1 some weeks ago but doubt its related.
Today in particular the mail app is crashing.
Presumably the easiest soln is try and uninstall and re-install.

This is the desktop one that comes with the People and calendar
any ideas
