I'm trying to shrink my Vista partition using the disk management tool. I have a 160GB HDD, ~137GB of which was allocated to C:\ where Vista resides. Having shrunk the partition by the maximum allowed amount, I'm now left with a 95GB C:\ of which 47GB (50%) is free!
Why won't it allow me to shrink this partition any further? I haven't tried resizing the partition with GParted yet in case there's a good reason for this. Any ideas folks?
Also, in case it's relevant, there is a pagefile on the target partition (default install) but it's just under 4GB. I haven't made any snapshots (although Vista may have done so automagically). In any case, both of these should be included in the used space stats, no?
