Problem

WinXP, trying to associate DVD's with an application, done this before but on this machine in folder options -> file types there is no DVD Video type so cannot associate an action. Can't figure how to add a file type that is a DVD drive and not a (NONE) extension type, too late and too frustrated with trying to search net now so someone help me please.

Kudos for the winner

Okay, so that works if I go open up the drive and click on a VOB file, but that's not what I want.

I want to right click on the drive and select my option, however, the DVD file type which should appear as a "(NONE) - DVD Video" just isn't there, AudioCD is but that's no use, argh

Okay, solution is

Locate registry key

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DVD\shell\play\command]

Set default to new program, yay
