My laptop won't sleep on its own. No one can figure this out, not Dell, not the internet, not Microsoft, not a clean reinstall (after installing the most basic of programs, no junk, but not in a virgin state). Here is an example of a neverending thread thread

So is there any app or script or anything that can activate sleep say 10 mins after the screen is off, and won't activate if my screen is on?

I tried to create a task but my task scheduler is corrupt. (Who knew that could even happen!)

I have the same problem and it is very frustrating.  The only 'solution' I have found is use Windows Key + I which opens the Settings side screen. Click on Power option at the bottom of the screen, then select Sleep. Far from ideal I know.
