I have an Intel S2600CP4 Board with 4x integrated 1GbE LAN interfaces in my Windows 8.1 system.

I did have everything working fine with all 4 interfaces using Intel drivers for quite some time.

After making a few network changes I had an issue with one interface showing incorrectly showing that it was in bridged mode (it wasn't) and the only way to fix it was to uninstall the driver through Device Manager.

When I re-scanned for the new hardware the interface was re-installed but with a Microsoft driver instead of an Intel driver (which has more features like VLAN etc).

I have tried running the Intel driver setup, updating with Windows Update, and selecting the driver manually and nothing seems to work.

Same issue occurred with another interface so I now have 4 identical Intel LAN interfaces; two with Intel drivers and two with Microsoft driver.

Any ideas on how to force the interfaces onto Intel drivers?

Fixed it. Found a newer Intel driver here which superseded the Microsoft one: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23071
