Hello, I have full control permissions on a folder, however I am not the owner.
I cannot add new users to have read/write permissions on this folder. Is this how it works ?
I mean can only the owner of a folder assign read/write rights to a new user ?

Thanks for clarification.

Is this a folder that you/whoever created to be used for sharing .

or a Windows(server) automatically created user folder or roaming folder .

You can usually just change ownership, be aware they maybe unforseen consquences of doing so .

Full Control includes editing permissions.

Be aware Full Control is greater than Read-Write-Execute permissions.

Also, if you only have Full Control on the folder, but not subfolders and files, you will not be able to add user permissions that apply to subfolders and files.
