Hi,
So I have a word document, and I put in a footer with page X of Y and on the print preview it shows page 1 of 3 page 2 of 3. page 3 of 3 etc.
but when it prints it prints page 1 of 1 and page 2 of 2 and page 3 of 3, and here's the even stranger thing.  It doesn't do this all the time.
Some documents print properly while others don't and I can't tell until I print them which one will do what because all is well in print preview.
Any ideas as to what is going on?
I have office 2000

In my experience, it usually has to do with page breaks and section breaks (next page, odd page, etc.) in your document and they can be a bugger to play with.  Try this resource - it may be of assistance.
